Hello Jeremy,
I updated to Kontakt 5.6.1 and I can't load it into Metro. I get an error message: cannot load plug-in 'Native Instruments Gmb-Kontakt 5' because it was not found. Similar error with VST or AU. I'm using Metro 7.2.8.

Hello Phil,
I use Kontakt 5 all the time on the PC and it loads fine.Might it be that you installed the 64 bit version on the Mac and not the 32 bit version? If it is not found then it does not exist in the correct directory.
This might be related.

Native Instrument dropped 32 bit support with the latest Kontakt update.
Other companies are doing this now as well.

I see.
I got around this issue using Vienna Ensemble Pro 5 as the host inside of Metro.
