Why does Metro SE6 ALWAYS ask me to do the MIDI SETUP?

Every time!

How do get Metro to remember my settings?

Metro will only ask you for your MIDI setup if you have nothing selected for your record input MIDI device.

Note that this can happen if your device is USB and off. Try turning on the device before starting Metro.

The reason why it presents the MIDI setup dialog is because if it did not, users would start the program and immediately be pulling their hair out trying to find out why there is no MIDI input.

Save you settings with the save button in the metro prefs once you're happy.

Usually it comes up if something has changed......metro's way of saying "eh?"

I've done the preference "save" and still everytime I open up MetroSE or LX it just barks at me to do the Midi Setup.

Would it be because I have M-Audio's Audiophile/Delta PCI card with one midi IN/OUT and also a USB MIDISport 8x8? So in my way of thinking nothing changes from session to session.

It seems that there should be a special window preference settings to lock my settings unless I am just not doing my preference savings correctly.

You do not need to save preferences. Metro automatically saves your MIDI record device. It sounds to me like either the USB device is not on or you have not set a record:from device or even possibly your preferences file is corrupted.

Where is that "preference" file in OS X Panther that I can safely trash or move out to the desk top?
