adding MP3

adding MP3

hello,
when I import an mp3 file it's automaticaly converted in AIFF Format,
is it possible to remain it in mp3 format or not ?

I don't think Metro would run as fast.
Also you would probably have to pay a fee for a licence to do it.

If I understand the postings here

I can export an audio file as an mp3

but

I can not import mp3 files until it is converted by MetroSE/LX to an aiff file first.

Have I got that right?

Sounds correct...........all Metro versions.

The link above (in first reply) explains the mp3 is a compressed format........and licensed
