Yes, I think it solves the problems. I don't see any issues if the latency buffer is set to none. From what I understand, the latency buffer on the VE Pro 5 Server Interface is only for playing in the sample if necessary to lessen the load on the host's CPU. VE Pro 5 otherwise automatically compensates for latency beween the slave and the host.

I'll give it another go! :D

Thank You!

There may be a problem in Metro 7.2.x's Mix and Render on the Mac

Are you refering to the multi-processor option? It doesn't work for me. The time left just ticks up and up.

Yes, the multi-processor option on the Mac seems to be broken in OS X 10.6 (and probably greater). It works in 10.5. I do have a fix for it coming soon as well as support for VE Pro 5. There is still a problem rendering in fast mode with the VE Pro but the latency issue seems to be resolved. Be sure to mix or render in medium or best mode.

Also I sent you a couple of emails Phil. Check your in box.

Okay there is good news/bad news and a resolution to this problem.

With great thanks to Martin from VSL Support, I was able to fix the problem. Metro was not informing VST plug-ins that they were in Mix/Render mode (bad news) and was instead erroneously telling them they were in real-time mode.

It is now fixed (good news) and I will have a new 7.2.x point release soon.
