Version Numbers

Can the full version number be displayed in the opening splash window and the about metro box?

Seeing 6.1.0.1 is more reassuring than just 6.1 :D
"V 6.1.0.1" would fit in the current space.
If it's a release issue, the word beta or pre could be added.

It would help users tell you which version they are using when posting here.

Yes.....it was more of a case of people with more than one version on a hard disk and actually knowing exactly which one is running, when they're wondering why they can't see new features or bug fixes.

I guess the best thing to do is have it so only one version can be opened at any one time and the others are .sit'ed

To find out what version is running do this.

1. Find the icon in the dock and right click (or control-click) it.
2. From the popup select show in finder.
3.Type Command-I (or select get info from the file menu).

The version number is displayed. Alternatively step 3 may be unnecessary if you have the Metro folder viewed as a list and have the version number field enabled from view options in the finder.
